• Nearly 34 million people (1 in 10), including more than 9 million children (1 in 8), were living in food insecure households in 2021.
• Black people are 2.9 times as likely, and Latinos are 2.5 times as likely to live in food-insecure households than white people.

Everyone should be able to gather with family or loved ones and share a meal – especially during the holidays. But there are millions of people in the U.S. who may not be able to put food on the table.

Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization and its mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities it serves.
