October SPOTLIGHT: The T.R.I.G.G.E.R. Project
Gun violence is a huge problem. It’s a daily scourge that threatens everyone’s fundamental right: the right to life. Every day, on average, 316 people in America are shot in murders, assaults, suicides and suicide attempts, unintentional shootings, and police intervention. A large number of these gun victims are our valued youth.
The T.R.I.G.G.E.R. Project out of Washington, DC., has taken a strong a principled stance to curb gun violence among young people in the Capitol City. They are laser focused on understanding and addressing the reasons why kids pick up guns and how to teach better conflict resolution.
